BabeSafe­^® Mattress Cover Use Instructions

Bedding instructions:
Many items of western-style baby bedding are capable of toxic gas generation from compounds of phosphorus, arsenic and/or antimony present in the bedding item. Therefore it is essential to use strictly specified bedding on top of a BabeSafe­^®-wrapped mattress which is not capable of this gas generation. Click Here to purchase a BabeSafe­® Mattress Cover.

The bedding instructions for a BabeSafe­^® wrapped mattress are as follows:

1) On top of the wrapped mattress place a pure cotton fitted lower sheet and a pure cotton upper sheet. (The baby sleeps between these sheets.)

2) On top of the upper sheet place 100% pure woollen or 100% pure cotton overblankets.

3) Do not use any of the following items:

Sheepskin or sheep fleece underlay
Any form of moisture-resistant crib mattress protector
Acrylic blanket
Any blanket which contains polyester
Any bedding item which is quilted, padded or "filled"
Any mattress pad
Sleeping bag
Duvet
Pillows or cushions

Note: If you use a blanket on top of the BabeSafe^® cover and beneath the fitted lower sheet, this blanket must be a 100% pure cotton flat blanket.

4) Do not sleep your baby in any “clothing” item which is in the form of a bag.

Cleaning instructions:
Do not remove the BabeSafe^® cover from the mattress for cleaning. To clean the cover, wipe it with a solution of pure bar soap and warm water, and then dry with a towel. Do not use chemical bleaches or sterilants to clean a BabeSafe^® cover.
